top 10 things i enjoyed much while staying in GT..

Staying in the company who is making great things possible is such a full of happenings and shared stories.. full of great persons.. different cultures, beliefs, ideologies, and interests.. individuals coming from different parts of the country and placed under one office has made these things really amazing.. below is the top 10 things i really enjoyed during my stay in Globe:

# 10 Trick or Treat Party

During halloween every year, all the employees are very busy decorating the offices to come up for a station as designated by HR. Every employee who has a child or a younger siblings are inivited to participate in the event.. Ofcourse the event is not only for the kids, after the kids have explored all the stations, then it's now the employees turn to check for other stations.. scaring each other while entering the stations.. hehehe ;p mommy, may mumu.. hahahah :D

# 09 G-Smash and G-Strike Annual Tournament

Finally, before I left Globe, our team WNTG won the over-all championship award for G-Smash and have won my 1st silver medal in the men's double badminton tournament.. wheew.. tiring but satisfied.. all the hardworks have come to a good end.. 1st time in my badminton career to received a silver medal.. hehehe.. I would like to thank Globe for the award.. .. nyahahah.. :D pra nman palang star awards.. i thought i won a best actor award.. *toink *toink..

#08 Breakfast with my brunch buddies

Imagine having our breakfast at 11am??!! Ofcourse who else will be my breakfast este brunch buddies but no other than the pasaways composed of Mam Ivy and Junjun.. hehehe.. :D coz we always come to office very late.. nyahaha.. kapal ng mukha then mgbre2akfast pa.. heheh.. tapos lunch na kagad after 30 minutes.. ;p

#07 Pre-lunch yosi break

Waaahh.. badly miss my yosi buddies.. joya, eaian, carl, junjun, and ofcourse intet.. ;) 5th floor or at the back of BPI?! named it.. always present in these locations during pre-lunch.. heheheh ;p

#06 Wednesday mass @ Equitable PCI chapel

We usually have our early lunch or late lunch if we will go to attend the mass every wednesday.. after the mass, if we will have late lunch, parang friday lunch out na rin.. hehehe.. tagal bumalik ng office ;p

#05 Gym gym-an

Gym ka?! this is what you will received in SMS if someone invites you to go to the gym.. ewan ko ba at pahirapan ang pagsagot every time your inviting them to go to the gym.. eh nagenroll nman cla sa gym at ngbayad ng 5,000++ as membership without using the facilities.. hehehe.. one time instead of going to the gym, we went to gilligans to have beer.. hehehe.. Alcohol rules!!!

#04 Christmas party

Really had a great time with last year GT christmas party.. ngstay kc kami in one hotel room together with all the performers.. videoke at inuman.. so much fun.. speaking of other parties particularly vendor christmas parties e.g. Nokia and Ericsson.. OMG, eventhough we will be a gate crasher, we will do it just to make it inside the venue of the party.. hehehe.. there is one time that we are desperate just to go in, we have printed a business card and used a liquid eraser to tamper the names and put our own names.. hahaha.. ;p

# 03 Baguio FABL inaguration

This is the moment.. really had a great memories in Baguio.. though the bondings are already there, in this place we have organized a group to uplift one's life and help one another to live a better life ;p really thankful to this group.. i will not make it where am i know without the people behind this group.. Kudos FABL team!!!

#02 Friday payday lunch out

Seems like we are working in a government.. It's like a normal public holiday everytime friday pay day falls.. lunch out to the max.. named it, any malls just to have a lunch out.. from makati going to places: The Fort, Market Market, Glorietta, Greenbelt, Megamall, Boni Circle ung ihawan dun, and all fast food corners around Jupiter street... hehehe ;p

#01 Videoke to the max

This is the official talent of FABL team.. lahat ata magaling kumanta.. syempre ako ung pinakamagaling.. hahaha... alang ko2ntra at blog ko i2.. mgcomment na lng.. ;p i still remember when i have the power vested on me to control the mic.. nanalo kc ako ng best in outfit.. tabla kami ni mam ivy.. heheh :D i can have the mic all the time.. videoke king ata i2!! hahahah ;p

someday.. somehow.. i know that these things can be repeatedly made things to reality again.. where all the members of FABL will unite once again.. Kudos!!!

election flaws..

15 days to come.. Election time once again.

What should you expect during election?!? Sweet promises which are pleasant to all our ears.. bull shit.. as if they have the balls to implement it.. You know what, Philippines can uplift its status from a 3rd world even to a 2nd world country if these promises are made into reality.. Philippines can be a best country to live with..

Since these have been practiced ages ago (mga 100 million years na ata?!).. don’t care if how long.. isn’t it that there must be a realization.. a turning point?!? to change these things from happening every election.. it’s already a cycle and part of our daily lives.. but are we going to allow these things to happened?! and just passed by our lives and to continue with the new generation.. duh, if that’s the case.. it will be a never ending story.. i will not be surprised if other small countries like here in Vanuatu may outdo what Philippines has accomplished.

I have read a blog entry reiterating the concept of senatorial elections.. why not place all the senatorial candidates inside the PBB house so that we can closely monitor those persona on/off cameras.. I am certained that they are always pretending and change the way themselves on how can they get attention of the public when they are on-cam, so why not monitor their daily lives.. since they are already a public figure, so the public must have the right to know these persons in detailed.. there might be a flaws but these can be polished and turned smooth.. one way or another, it seems these can possibly be the turning point of changing the unsystematic rule of election.. if they really have the balls, then show them what do they have and convinced the public for each coveted vote they want to get for each person.. then, the text votes amount they can generate should go to infrastructures improvement like building up a school, beautification projects to encourage more tourists, road repairs and expansions, and some projects that can translate job and help the jobless people..

If still nothing happens good in the country in the future, I will not think twice to migrate to other country and might probably forget that I have once become a Filipino.. This coming election, I will vote for the nth time (though this only my 2nd time to vote after GMA won the election last 2004) just to show on how am I a responsible citizen.. But if political rivalries will still rule, then so be it.. this might be my last time to have an indelible ink in my index finger as a voter in the Philippines…

I know how intelligent the Filipinos are.. but please open your mind and ears before writing the names in the ballot forms.. vote wisely and intelligently!!! Kudos!!

It's good thing that I have an internet here in the office and back at home. OMG, I don't know what to do if I don't have the internet. Still keep in touch with the latest news in my country inspite of distance away. (30 minutes)

Watch some upload tv shows in the Philippines as well as the last fight of Manny vs. Solis.. Too bad we don't have solar sports here to watch his fight.. (1 hour)

1st international flight…

Wheeew. . cool.. my level is already international.. before, I can only have domestic flights.. heheh :D

If you’re a first timer, better to check the rules and regulations in the international airport. It might be helpful to check for the following:

1. How much is the departure tax? In what currency is it payable?
2. What is the maximum weight that you’re allowed in your luggage and hand carry?
3. What are the things not allowed to bring in your hand carry or luggage?
4. What are the requirements needed for the Immigration Officers?
5. Lastly, be there on the airport on time. As much as possible 3 to 4 hours before departure.

Here’s the procedure to make you feel comfortable as you enter the International Airport:

1. Prepare your ticket and verification ID once entering the gate of the airport for identification purposes.
2. You need to pass the 1st scanner to check for all your belongings.
3. Check for the lane on which airlines is your ticket belongs. You can check it in the window in the middle of the airport or usually it is located once you passed the 1st scanner.
4. A destination country immigration officer will check for your ticket and will weigh your luggage and hand carry. Better to check for your maximum load of luggage in your ticket before going to the airport. It is advisable to buy the weighing scale in your home to measure it first. It’s too expensive if you will exceed the maximum load.. It’s 30 USD per kilo… duh…
5. Present your ticket to the counter and wait for your boarding pass.
6. Once you have the boarding pass, go to the local immigration officer lanes. They will conduct several interviews and be ready for your answers. Usually they will only ask what is your purpose in going to that country and are you still going back to your country? Better prepare your supporting documents.
7. Once you have passed the immigration officer, a 2nd scanner will detect again your belongings.. But this time, they are already strict, you need to remove all your metal items within your body. Your belt, shoes, etc. and anything as what they request you to remove.. heheh :D
8. After that, check for the waiting area number of the airlines that you’re taking. Usually, it appears on the screen after you passed the 2nd scanner.
Then present your ticket and boarding pass on the officer on that waiting area.
9. And voila!! Just wait for your plane to arrive…

Pretty simple and cool huh??!! But if you’re a first timer, you will feel nervous especially if you’re traveling alone.. hehe ;p

It was a 7-hour flight from manila to Sydney. I left manila by 8pm and arrived in Sydney by 6am??!! Surprised with the time??!! I was surprised too.. hehehe.. If it’s only a 7-hour flight, I should have arrived in Sydney by 3am?? Yah your right, but since Sydney is advance 3 hours, it is already 6am by that time.. hehehe… ;p

I don’t have enough sleep in the plane, nway my airline is Qantas, I’m still mesmerized with the facilities inside the aircraft.. It’s huge, and the food is fantastic.. They have so many freebies inside that’s why I collect them all.. (para nman palang Jollibee.. collect them all.. heheh) I am awake for the whole journey and waited until we arrived in Sydney. OMG, I can’t believe when I saw Australia on top of the plane. It’s huge and fantastic. You can even see the Opera House on top.. I felt that I’m already a new person when I landed the airport. Everyone is strangers to me.. But duh, who cares, me is also a stranger to them… hahaha… I just tour around the Sydney airport. It’s great.. I wish I have enough dollars to buy some techies and perfumes… It’s too tempting to buy.. Just imagine my attitude, I always buy what I want in an instant. But this time it’s different. I need to save my money for my own and I just promise myself once I go back here, I can buy what I want now.. hehehe.. I already have the dollars!!! Bwahahahah :D


At first, it’s quite happy to be in the foreign land… but they always say… THERE’S NO BETTER PLACE THAN HOME!!!... ever... ;)

January 04, 2007 marked my last day in GT Office.. Before that day everything seems to be smooth and ideal.. I really had a great relationship with my superiors, colleagues, and friends.. From GT Tower Office to BPI Buendia Office.. From Network Quality Department to Radio Network Engineering and Optimization Department to Radio Access Network Engineering Department.. From Phase 10 Project Support to Radio Network Projects to Radio Network Implementation.. From NCR Area Engineer to Radio Network Implementation – Post Integration Unit Head.. From Band A to Band B.. From my previous senior engineers to the new hybrid of fresh engineers, and from being thirst to quenched with knowledge..

I had experienced above all things while staying in Globe Telecom.. From always being left by my senior engineers, and witnessing the new hybrid of fresh engineers.. People go.. new faces come.. this is the cycle of life in GT.. Being left is always the hardest part of letting go.. I’d rather be the one who will leave than being left.. But reality hurts, one must not stop from dreaming and must challenge life to bring out the very best it may offer.. What matters most is that even we left that person, we know that somehow we have instill a legacy within their hearts.. People go but memory never fades..

**It’s not how many summer times we had to give to fall.. The early morning smiles we tearfully recall.. What matters most is that we loved at all..

What's with 3?!

It's funny.. I have a forecast before while I was staying in Globe Telecom that the maximum length of service that I can render is 3 years.. Know why?!? My first job in Micro Device Service - Circuit Technology in The Fort as PCB Lay-out Engineer was lasted only for 3 weeks.. My 2nd job in National Transmission Corporation in Quezon City as Cadet Engineer only lasted for 3 months.. so here goes the pattern.. there should be number 3 involved?! so i guess my 3rd job should be lasted for 3 years.. and I am right.. I don't know what's the significance of number 3 in my career.. I ended my almost 3 years of stay in Globe Telecom and bid goodbye with my considered 2nd home and 2nd family..

Funny might it seems.. but I need to discover what's the importance of 3 in my career.. I know that I should not be settle for 3rd.. coz I always strive hard to bring out the best in me.. Hopefully, here in my current job I should not stay for 3 decades.. hehehe.. but I will forecast again, I might probably stay here not 3 weeks nor 3 months coz I already stayed for 4 months here.. but mostly.. grrh.. it seems my radar is not working properly.. i cant see myself in the future.. hehehe.. just a forecast.. 3 quarters of this year.. ;p

Easter in Vanuatu...

It's my first time celebrating easter away from home, relatives, and friends.. I used to celebrate easter before back in my province in San Miguel, Bulacan or having an out-of-town with my friends for a swim in a beach.. Last year, me, my AUSG friends, my sister, my younger brother, and my auntie went for easter vacation in Ilocos.. Northern part of the Phil is really good.. It's a 14-hr drive from manila before you reached Ilocos.. If my memory doesn't betray me, you need to passed the following provinces:

1. Bulacan
2. Pampanga
3. Tarlac
4. Pangasinan
5. La Union
6. Ilocos na ata??!! hehehe..

Above provinces are all big that's why it takes you longer to get there.. 1st stop was in Candon, Ilocos Sur.. den Paoay Church.. Laoag.. Vigan.. Bangui Windmill.. Burgos Light House.. and finally Pagudpud!!! Wheeww.. really had a great easter vacation last year with my friends and relatives..

Here in Vanuatu, there are two main religions.. Presbyterian and Catholic.. but they also celebrate the easter tradition same in the Philippines.. they also have novena reading and station of the cross..

Last good friday, my manager gave me a big easter egg chocolate.. He told me that its a tradition in Ireland.. nway, my boss is an irish.. a certified Irish coz he drinks too much beer.. duhh.. even I was influenced with his Irish culture.. drinking beer all night long and even during weekly meetings.. hehehe :D

Black Saturday seems to be a perfect day for me.. my day most probably not be complete without meeting her.. Jessica.. a chinese australian chick.. wheew.. fantastic and extraordinary!!!

She's kind and intelligent.. multi-lingual.. she can speak chinese, italian, french, and fluent in english.. wheeww!! it seems that my internal organs are bleeding.. hehehe :D she stayed here only for 2 weeks because she needs to go back to sydney.. huhuhu :( but nway, with her 2 weeks of her stay here in Vila, we really had a great time.. i get to know more her and her family.. she has an interesting family and stories in life.. She told me that I am perfect.. but Im facing the hardest part, she will be leaving in 2 days time.. waahh.. is she the real one for me?!! why do these things need to be happened... duh!! my life still is not in a hurry.. no pressure.. still enjoying life being single.. and i know i can still meet other hot chicks here in the Island of Fire!!!

It's bad to be back in your alma mater..

When i went in my alma mater last December 2006 to secure for a second copy of my diploma, coz my original diploma was missing, and i badly need my diploma as part of my requirements here abroad.. this dilemma happened..

The guard told me to go to the course window.. so punta ako course window ko window 17 for ECE.. den meron pang tao sa unahan ko.. malamang alumni din.. kaso sobrang tagal nman.. den inusisa ko na kung bakit matagal.. un pala eh nagtsi2smisan lang sa tapat ng window.. dun pa tlga cla ngtsis2misan.. eh past 3pm na nun so mgsasarado na cla.. sumingit ako sa eksena.. excuse me.. kung di na sana official business pwede ako nman kc baka mgsara na ang registrar.. pinagbigyan nman ako pero parang galit ang SA.. grrrhh.. sa isip isip ko eh dati paswelduhan lang nmin kayo nung ngbabayad pa ako ng tuition fee nuon.. so ok relax.. balik sa official business ko.. sabi ko i need a copy of my 2nd diploma.. the S.A. told me that I need to write a letter requesting for a 2nd copy of my diploma addressed to the Registrar.. eh ala akong dalang gamit nun coz I know dapat medyo madali na kumuha ng 2nd copy ng diploma, kc 2nd copy na lng nman un.. so I decided to go to OSA hoping that I still knew someone in the office.. good thing andun pa c mam leah, so nakigamit ako ng pc nila at nagpaprint na rin ng letter.. so may letter na ako.. at ipapasa ko na sa registrar.. Pagdating sa registrar sabi mgbayad daw ako ng 400 pesos ata un??!! for my 2nd copy of diploma.. so okay ala nmang problema dun.. eh di magbayad.. humingi ako sa guard nung very famous na payment slip na pgkaliit liit na may butas sa taas na bandang kaliwa sa di malaman na kadahilanan.. naks buti kabisado ko pa ang student number ko.. kundi eh baka bumalik na nman ako dun sa course window ko.. sabi ko san mgbabayad?? ang dami kasing window.. take note ang daming window.. sabi ng guard dun daw sa Window A and C.. sabi ko wow dalawa pa ang choices so malamang madali na sa akin ang mkapagbayad.. eh di punta ako dun.. nak ng pating.. sobrang haba ng pila.. halos umabot na sa 2nd floor ang pila ng pagbabayad.. balik ako sa guard, sabi ako ala bang lane for other payments na hindi tuition fee..ala daw.. bwiset.. eh prelims pala ng estudyante nuon.. aba malay ko nman.. eh urgent need ko ung diploma ko.. sabi ko sa guard.. hindi ako pipila dyan sa mga estudyante dahil im not a student anymore!!! ang dami nyong window bakit di iopen lahat.. ano un display lang ba ang mga window na yan??!! bwisseettt!!! matigas i2ng c guard.. ayaw tlga.. nakisuyo na lang ako na kung pwede paabot na lang ung byad ko dun sa window.. aba at tinarayan pa ako.. dinedma ako at sinabi pumila daw ako sa dulo.. grrrhh.. pinag-iinit nya ang ulo ko.. sabi ko alam ko ang kabulukan ng sistema d2 kaya wag ka ng dumagdag.. di na ako estudyante at isa na akong alumnus.. so dapat meron nmang lane pra sa miscellaneous lang..

imaginin mo ba nman na kailangan mong mgleave pra lang mag-apply ng diploma at tapos pipila ka dun sa pagkahaba haba??!!! waahhh.. sabi ko i need to talk to Bro. Henry (head ng registrar) close nman kami nun.. pro ayaw ko sana muna gamitin ang powers ko pro kung ganung bastus cla humarap sa alumni eh di nman pwede un.. kaya sabi ko cguro na kaya walang gus2ng bumalik na alumni d2 eh ganyan kayo magtrato.. punta ako opis ng registrar, ala daw c bro. henry dun sa loob.. haayy.. so sabi ko cno ang pwede ko pang kausapin??!! tumawag ako sa opis ng alumni.. sabi ko kung pwede nga akong matulungan na mkapagbayad pra sa 2nd copy ng diploma ko.. aba at wala daw cla magawa.. di daw nila control un... mga bwisseettt tlaga.. Alumni President tapos alang control dun??!! eh ano ang kaya nilang maitulong sa alumni nila??!! gatasan lang cla pra sa mga proyekto nila??!! pweehh.. so finally, kung di ko pa cguro cla nainsulto eh di nila ako 22lungan.. di nman kailangan dumating sa point na un kung una pa lang sana eh may tulong na cla na binigay sa mga alumni nila..

i2 pa.. sabi daw eh pag may alumni ID ka na eh pwede ka pumasok sa lahat ng gate.. grrrhh.. eh pinaikot pa ako ng guard sa CS pra lang makapasok eh nsa JP na ako nun.. grrrhhh... ano pa ng silbi ng mga pangako kung di nman natutupad... haaayy... sana lang at alagaan nila ang kanilang mga alumni.. dahil in the end cla din ang huli nilang malalapitan.. dun lang ata cla magaling.. mabait kapag may kailangan...

They always say.. its good to be back home.. but duh!!! kung ganito lang eh wag na uy!!!
