something unusual celebrating life @ 25!!!
Wheew.. I am already 25.. Before, i always think what should i do something unusual when I reached the age of 25.. something extra-ordinary and challenging.. one of my friend suggests that i should try sky diving, but unfortunately none here in Vanuatu, so what I just did is try the.... PARASAILING!!!
What a feeling!?! It feels that I am flying in the sky.. great sense of relaxation.. great view from the top to see the whole city of Port Vila.. great beach.. great scene.. great experience.. below are some of my pics during parasailing :)
Life turns to silver year..
A month ago, I had a countdown in my friendster for my silver year anniversary.. the first day i posted the countdown, it's still 31 days to come.. days passed.. and yesterday ended my countdown and celebrate life in silver year.. keep thinking to myself what should i do during my silver year?!?..Way back in my college years, I always looked up life at 25.. It's because for me at this stage, life must be somehow stable and with a sense of completion for myself and for my family..
When I graduated my Bachelor's Degree by the age of 20, it feels somehow im partially fulfilled.. but still looking for the next phase, "the Board Exam".. after taking the board exam, what a sense of relief looking at your name in the newspaper that you passed the board exam and be with the other board passers taking the oath at the age of 21..
But life must not end in passing the board exam neither being failed, one must look on how can you support for yourself and for your family.. Luckily after the board exam, i easily landed a job by the age of 21 still and i am so happy that time that first time in my life i am being paid for my effort.. having my own money.. giving some to my family.. spending things for myself out of my own pocket.. and most of all not being dependent anymore in my parents..
As they say, life's contentment is really hard to find.. less than a month i did resigned and transfer to a different company.. new environment.. new found friends.. and so the cycle continue, after 3 months i resigned again and grabbed the opportunity to work with a prominent company at Globe Telecom..
In this company, somehow i learned how to appreciate life at its best.. I never know that the real journey of my life starts here in achieving the fulfillment I needed by the age of 25..
When I was promoted by the age of 23 as a Senior RF Engineer, that time I told to myself.. I have already that "something" that I can be proud of .. and so much happiness coz I have a lead time of 2 years more and already hit that 'big thing'..
But life is so good to be true.. still so many good things came up.. by the age of 24.. I was able to work overseas which I never dreamt at this early.. celebrating my silver year away from home, family, and great friends really makes me sick.. it's my first time to celebrate my birthday without my loved ones.. but still I am so happy that my dear family and friends still remember me on my very special day.. when i opened my inbox today since I was leave yesterday, BOOM!!! 110 messages full of greetings.. from yahoo to outlook to friendster.. :) I feel that I am really blessed and has the reason to make my life very happy and contented in celebrating my silver year..

moments at the land of unexpected...
Moments at PNG…
Been there.. live there.. after 60 days of tough stay and sort of excruciating moments spend in PNG, finally it’s like a relief that I will be going be back in my second home in Vanuatu…
It’s kinda good experienced for me during my stay in PNG.. I learned to disciplined myself and somehow limits the way how I used to live my life before.. from all night gimmicks even weekdays or weekends.. just imagined how my life becomes boring from the hotel going to office and going back to hotel.. this is not me.. but for damn sake of staying 2 months in this country.. it changed me.. but still im looking forward to bring back the real me.. and now that im already here in Vanuatu, hoping to make things change abruptly.
Honestly, I did not enjoy my stay in PNG.. I feel like I am imprisoned for 2 months.. nothing much interesting but full of adventures.. adventure because of your life is at risk.. just imagine all your movements are limited.. all gates have barbed wire.. needs security escort and armed personnel if you will go on field.. this is my first time to experienced those things.. im not comfortable to do things with armed personnel around you.. even though I haven’t tried to be put in jail, but it seems I’m one of them.. Sometimes I cannot go home without my escort.. :(
As they say, experience is an experienced.. it helps us to grow stronger and make a better person.. just look on the positive view.. somehow this experience brought a meaning in my life..
PNG is not a bad place.. but if the people there will change.. it will be a better place to live.. I already visited some of the provinces of PNG.. from Port Moresby to Mt. Hagen to Tabubil.. The country is rich in its natural resources.. They have the biggest gold mining in the world.. This country still has a future to live with…
I still don’t know if I will be going back to the Land of Paradise… As for the mean time, I will make the most of my time while staying here in the Land of Great Outdoor Experienced here inVanuatu…
Adios PNG!!!

Glance at Sydney…
Too bad.. I don’t have my camera with me that time when I visited the opera house.. huhuhuh.. :( I sold my w900i when I was in Vanuatu and I’m only using my Nokia 1100 phone with no camera… waaahh.. I don’t have any souvenir with me that time.. I even want to request for a favor with a stranger to take me a picture with his camera and just send it to my email.. but I don’t have the confidence to do it so.. tsk tsk.. baka isipin promdi ako.. hehehe.. what I did is just tour around the opera house, enjoy the scenery, and the climate.. that time the temperature is 15deg.. it’s too cold and I only have my maong jacket with me.. hehehe ;p malay ko bang malamig sa Sydney that time.. kala ko summer pa rin kc May 11 ako ngpunta dun.. It’s already winter season in Sydney that time.. poor boy!! Hehehe :D
Walking by in Circular Quay, where Opera House is located, I found the starbucks.. wheew.. finally after 4 months of being deprived of drinking coffee in starbucks, finally quenched my esophagus for drinking my favorite grande java chip.. :D
After the last sipped of my coffee, I decided to go to Town Hall where Sydney CBD is located, then I visited the Queen Victoria Building Shopping Mall.. the set-up is similar to Rockwell in Makati.. then I phoned my friend who is working in Nokia Sydney to see me in QVB.. after waiting for 30 minutes, finally she came to see me.. Then, we just went to her place, without knowing that day was her birthday because I was surprised because there are so many foods in her place.. ang galing ko talaga.. timing nga nman.. hehehe.. patay gutom.. hahaha ;p
I’ve met some Filipinos as well who are working in Nokia Sydney and some of her local colleagues.. It’s just too bad that I don’t have any documentations to post it on my blog.. but next time.. I see to it that I have my own digital camera with me.. I’m planning to buy a Canon Ixus i7.. to capture the moments next time I stayed in Sydney..

wow philippines..
3 weeks is too short to have a vacation in the Philippines, though this is the longest vacation I ever had since I had my first job.. Usually I will be allowed to take vacation leave max of 3 days.. and of course thanks to long weekend holidays.. hehehe.. sometimes need to tell white lies just to allow me to extend my vacation.. hahaha…
It’s very worthy that I spent my holidays in the Philippines.. so much things and happenings to do.. since I need to transit in Sydney, Australia because there is no direct flight to Manila from Vanuatu, I decided to stay overnight in Sydney just to explore the city.. wheew.. awesome.. I have finally seen the opera house, QVB shopping mall, town hall CBD.. still so many places to explore in Sydney and overnight stay is not enough to explore Sydney..
Below are the happenings I enjoyed so much while staying in the Philippines for 3 weeks:
10. Shopping Galore in SM Manila, SM Mall of Asia, and Robinson’s Galleria..
Since I haven’t done my shopping for the past 4 months, ala kc mall sa Vanuatu.. heheh.. I grab the opportunity to go to the shopping malls.. heheh.. I intentionally brought my bag empty from vanuatu to manila to bring more things back in Vanuatu.. smuggler nman pla.. :D
9. House Visit to Mam Zhar
Damn. I have no idea that it’s Mam Zhar’s bday on that day, I just went to LTO to renew my driver’s license and learned that her house is just near in LTO that’s why I decided to drop by in her place.. **toink **toink.. I have no gifts nor any present to her and learned only that her bday is on that day when I had a phone call with Joy.. tsk tsk..
8. Lunch out at Mr. Poon (Dela Costa St.) in Makati with my former colleagues in GT
It’s a tradition when a former employee will visit GT, he/she must treat for a lunch out.. heheh.. good thing, because this is the only time you can see all your colleagues at one shot ;p
7. First time shopping @ Fiesta Mall, Duty Free
Hahaha.. funny might it seems, but it’s a good feeling that all your hard works pay for you.. feeling OFW ako.. hahahaha ;p buti na lng at may limit ang pag shopping sa duty free other wise, I will run out of dollars… heheheh :D
6. Library comedy bar hang-out with my college friends
Wheew.. Filipinos are really talented… they really know how to entertained people.. full of laughs and green minded stories.. nyahaha ;p
5. Bowling session with my former colleagues in RNI
Good to see all my former colleagues in my section in GT.. we already have so many outings that we had organized with the section but this one is different, because I am no longer part of the team.. huhuh.. Soar high RNI!! Ay wala na palang RNI.. hehehe ;p
4. Night bar parties with my AUSG friends in Malate
I really miss bar hopping back in my college, the way we used to do with my friends in the student council when we go out late at night already in the council office.. great to see once again the future leaders of the nation.. heheheh ;p
3. Starbucks session in Pacific Star
The usual habit in GT.. coffee and yosi session in starbucks.. hehehe.. one good thing in drinking coffee, aside from drinking alcohol ofcourse, is that there are so many stories to share.. stories to learned.. ;)
2. Quezon Province escapade with my college barkadas
What an escapade for relaxation… the beach and resort is good.. plus I have with me my closest friends.. what else can I request.. full of happiness and laughter..
1. Boracay Summer fever with my family..
It’s my first time to treat my family out of town.. It’s such a fulfilling and very rewarding to myself that this time I’m the one who will treat them in an out of town.. Usually since I was a kid, my dad or my mom will just tell us that we will go out of town.. but this time I took the initiative to do the same.. I’m very happy and blessed just to see my family smiling in my own little way…
As they say, there’s no other place than Manila.. yes its true.. I still want to come back to Manila…
Naks.. pwede na ata ako maging secretary ng department of tourism sa pagplu2g.. hahaha ;p
See you Manila in 6 months time ;)
